The checked baggage s a baggage passenger shows during check-in. Such baggage is carried in the hold of the aircraft.

Usually the carry-on baggage allowance is one item of 3–15 kg and one item of 20–23 kg item of checked baggage per passenger. Some airlines (for example, Air Baltic) allow only one item of carry-on baggage.
