According to the rules of Ukrzaliznytsia:
- When purchasing a train ticket online, first and last names of the passenger, who will travel using the ticket, are entered in every ticket.
- When booking an electronic ticket (with subsequent purchase at the box office), passenger data, which was entered while booking, will be mentioned in the ticket.
Exchange (subsequent purchase) of an electronic ticket for a travel document of strict accountability is carried out without presenting ID documents at the railway box office.
When boarding a train, the passenger is obliged to present his/her original ID document and ticket! Passenger without a document will be refused boarding the train.
Rules for personalized tickets registration:- When filling passenger data (first and last name), not more than 3 mistakes are allowed. If the passenger data differ from the data of the ID document for more than 3 characters, the ticket is considered as invalid.
- First and last name of the passenger should be entered in the same language as it is in the document that will be used while travelling.
- Separate fields are provided for the Passenger’s first and last name when filling in data.
- If the Buyer accidentally mixed up first and last name, and entered the data vice versa (instead of first name – last name, instead of last name – first name), this ticket is considered to be invalid and does not allow the passenger to travel according to the rules of Ukrzaliznytsia. In this case, the ticket has to be returned and a new one should be bought.
- It is not allowed to transfer personalized ticket to another person for travel or reissue to other individual data. In this case, the ticket has to be returned, and a new one should be bought for the other passenger.
- After purchasing a ticket, Ukrzaliznytsia does not allow to change passenger data.
The following ID documents are allowed when boarding the train:
- Ukrainian passport for travel abroad;
- Passport or its substitute for foreigners;
- Ukrainian diplomatic passport, Ukrainian service passport;
- Seafarer’s ID;
- Crew member’s ID;
- Military ID (during the period of military service);
- Identity card for return to Ukraine;
- Temporary certificate of resident of Ukraine;
- Driver’s license;
- Certificate of stateless person for travel abroad;
- ID card for person in need of extra protection;
- Document for travel abroad;
- Recognized refugee and person in need of extra protection;
- Certificate of appeal for protection in Ukraine;
- Residence permit;
- Migration card;
- Refugee card;
- Refugee travel document;
- Passport document for foreigner and stateless person.
